      LABORATORY OF THE "NORTH POLE" DRIFTING STATION

    • A separate cabin (tent) is designated for scientific research (hydrology, meteorology, magnetic research, aerology, hydro-biology, and other).
    • The cabin is equipped with shelves to hold equipment, documentation, and other necessary items.
    • Laboratory cabin is heated similarly to the living quarters with oil heaters. It is equipped with ventilation and has a transmitter and a telephone connecting with other station's locations.
    • The middle connecting room is equipped with shelving for storage of dishes, test-tubes, and other cold-resistant items.
    • The laboratory is equipped with necessary fire prevention equipment. The scientists are responsible for fire safety.
