      MEDICAL ROOM OF THE "NORTH POLE" DRIFTING STATION


    • The station always includes a separate area (cabin, tent) which hosts the expedition's medical room.
    • The medical room is well-stocked with various medications.
    • Instruments for emergency dental surgical assistance are available, as well as a quartz lamp, salts, ultra sound.
    • All living and office areas have medical kits, and qualified medical assistance is available immediately. A doctor's/surgeon's presence on the station is obligatory.
    • The medical room contains a sufficient amount of medical supplies, antiseptic, blood substitute, dry plasma, anti-shock treatments, disinfectants, immobilization materials, bandaging material, transfusion kits, etc.
    • The medical room has a small bed for medical examination, which can also be used when quarantine or close medical observation is necessary.
    • The medical room includes a dentist chair for emergency dental work, as well as for planned dental treatment. High quality filling materials are available.
    • The station always contains a supply of medical oxygen and nitrogen oxide.
