      CLOTHING FOR ARCTIC EXPEDITION MEMBERS

    • Selecting appropriate clothing for members of the expedition is of crucial importance for Center Pole, as it is essential for persons who will be spending time in the extremely low temperatures of the Arctic region to be well protected.
    • All requirements for spending time on ice flow are taken into account, in order to prevent discomfort from spending prolonged period of time in the cold, and so that movements are not constricted with heavy and bulky clothing.
    • During the preparatory period all members of the expeditions, guests, and tourists visit the storage area well in advance, where they try on the Arctic sets of clothing, replace what is necessary, and order appropriate sizes. When the set is complete, it is permanently given to the members of the expedition, guests, and tourists.
    • Some persons like to perform additional alterations at home, however the experience of the past years has show that distributed down clothing usually fits everyone well.
    • The set includes: a down jacket with a warm hood, down overalls, which help protect the back from cold air in any posture, double arctic boots Sorel, which guarantee warmth in any temperature, down mittens, which can be easily removed.
    • To be absolutely protected from any cold and wind of the Arctic region, a tourist or a guest of the expedition needs to wear the Arctic set over a simple warm up suit.
    • According to the tradition, the Arctic set is a gift to every person who has visited the North Pole as a memory of the days spent in this unusual and remarkable land.
